Wedding at The Heirloom Indianapolis

Wedding at The Heirloom Indianapolis, The Heirloom Wedding Venue, Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

An elegant and joyful wedding at The Heirloom in Indianapolis.

The newly renovated, open-concept wedding venue, The Heirloom, provides its couples with idyllic views of the Indianapolis skyline. Consequently, Sophia and Patrick chose to host their wedding day celebration at the Heirloom in Indianapolis. It was filled with joyful moments and elegant details.

One thing I’ve noticed about my couples, in particular, is their desire to curate highly private and deeply personal moments on their wedding day. Moreover, for Sophia and Patrick, it was a tear-jerking first look that came along with private vows. From Sophia walking up behind Patrick for their first touch, and the moment Patrick turned around to lay eyes on his bride, they breathed in every second. Their private first look and vows were positively overcome with emotion. And also served as a beautiful reminder of why everyone was gathered that day.

Their private vows were just the precursor to their wedding ceremony. Sophia and Patrick planned a wedding liturgy at St. Mary Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Before Sophia made her way down the aisle of the cathedral, there were two very special flower girls in attendance. They lined the path with white rose petals for Sophia to make her way to Patrick. Once their sacred wedding vows were exchanged at the altar, Sophia and Patrick went in for a newlywed kiss. They held hands, embraced, and even went in for a slight dip. Their joyful smiles coming down the altar together as husband and wife, truly say it all.

Sophia and Patrick’s classic wedding attire required a solemn but beautifully architected backdrop to capture their day. Along with their wedding party, I took my bride and groom to the Indiana War Memorial for their photography experience. Undoubtedly, the gilded doors, along with the simplistic yet elegant stone structures were just what was needed to create stunning wedding day photos. Additionally, Sophia’s long sleeve ballgown paired with her cathedral-length veil was an exquisite vision of wedding day beauty. But side by side with Patrick in his white tux jacket, as well as their wedding party; it was pure inspiration brought to life.

Sophia & Patrick’s wedding at The Heirloom in Indianapolis

Furthermore, their wedding reception at The Heirloom in Indianapolis was filled with an air of joy and celebration as friends and family gathered to toast the newlyweds. Sophia and Patrick’s guests of ages joined one another on the dance floor in utter merriment as the day faded to night. But, there was one more private moment that my bride and groom had planned for themselves before the night was through. With their guests outside, preparing for their sparkler exit, and the venue completely emptied, Sophia and Patrick took to the dance floor for a final dance of the evening. At that moment, it was easy to see how wrapped up they were in their love for each other. You’ll get to see their private dance, sparkler exit, and more when you scroll through the photos below.
